Each year the 'Comité de Gestion du Bulletin - Comité van Beheer van het Bulletin' organizes incentive awards to reward excellent researchers in chemistry affiliated to a Belgian research institution.. The value of an incentive award is 2500,-€. The deadline for submission is March 24, 2023 at 6pm.

Waterstof is een energiebron die steeds belangrijker wordt in België en wereldwijd. Om een waterstofeconomie te creëren en volledig energieonafhankelijk te worden, is het essentieel om een stabiele waterstofmarkt te ontwikkelen. Maar hoe doen we dat?
Wij geloven dat er enkele stappen moeten worden genomen, zoals het creëren van duidelijke en stabiele regelgeving rondom waterstof, het ontwikkelen van de waterstofinfrastructuur en het verminderen van de kosten van waterstof. Om deze en andere belangrijke kwesties te bespreken, nodigen wij je uit voor de Waterstof Conferentie op 20 april.
Tijdens deze conferentie zullen wij samen met de top van de energiesector in gesprek gaan over hoe we een duurzame en concurrerende waterstofmarkt in België kunnen creëren. Bovendien zullen we de vraag naar waterstof stimuleren door het promoten van waterstofgebruik in de transportsector, industrie en woningbouw.

It is now possible to register for IUPAC|CHAINS 2023. The conference, which combines the 49th IUPAC World Chemistry Congress and the 11th edition of the Dutch Chemistry Conference CHAINS, will take place from 20 till 25 August in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Hereby we want to inform you that it is still possible to submit your poster abstract for IUPAC|CHAINS 2023! We want to give more researchers the chance to present their work for an international audience in The Hague from 20 till 25 August. Therefore the deadline for poster abstracts is extended and will close on April 17 (CET 23:59).

More than two decades after the third edition, the fourth edition of the so-called IUPAC Orange Book has been released this month by RSC.
How do you describe an analytical method, measure the purity of the new chemical that you have just synthesized, or report the proper units of measurement? For analytical chemists, the principal tool of the trade, or source of terms, is this book – the so-called Orange Book. First published in 1978, this latest edition edited by D Brynn Hibbert takes into account the explosion of new analytical procedures and, at the same time, the diversity of techniques and the quality and performance characteristics of the procedures that are the focus of interest.
