In his talk Alex Lachmund reports on the Synvina project for the manufacturing of the new biobased plastic PEF. The superior properties of this polymer in comparison with PET will be discussed.
Dr. Jan Van Havenbergh will review various projects of Catalisti in the field of renewable feedstock focussing on bioaromatics.
Prof. dr. ir. Bert Sels will discuss the state of the art of the conversion of waste wood to chemicals and fuels.
Finally, ir. Jan Theulen will highlight the main projects of HeidelbergCement in Carbon Capture and Utilization/Sequestration and the challenges to their implementation.
