Op donderdagavond 23 mei vertelt Gert De Rouck, managing director van de Pilot Malting and Brewery (KU Leuven – campus Gent) ons alles over het bier brouwen en het tot stand komen van het bieraroma. Uiteraard kan een bezoek aan de piloot brouwerij niet ontbreken en met wat geluk kunnen we een brouwsel uit de brouwerij proeven.

In deel 1 modereert Jacotte Brokken een gesprek met Catho Schoenmaekers en Siegfried Vlaeminck (Universiteit Antwerpen) met als centrale vraag "Waarom ruimteonderzoek en ruimtevaart?".
In deel 2 met als centrale vraag "Materialen en energie in een circulaire economie" modereert Jacotte Brokken een gesprek met Gwenny Thomassen en Sammy Verbruggen (Universiteit Antwerpen).
Met deze jeugdactiviteit reikt de Kekulé-cyclus uit naar STEM-leerlingen en -leerkrachten in het secundair onderwijs.

Al 1.000 ondernemingen, federaties en vakbondsorganisaties vanuit alle lidstaten van de Europese Unie hebben de ‘Antwerp Declaration for a European Industrial Deal’ ondertekend. Daarmee roepen bedrijfsleiders en sociale partners uit 25 verschillende industriesectoren op om van een strategisch industriebeleid op lange termijn een topprioriteit te maken voor de volgende Europese Commissie. Dit gezamenlijk pleidooi werd gelanceerd tijdens de European Industry Summit op 20 februari bij BASF Antwerpen, in aanwezigheid van de voorzitter van de Europese Commissie Ursula von der Leyen en Belgisch premier Alexander De Croo.
