Dear,
Hereby we send you an announcement and invitation for the virtual Photo-Cat symposium that we are organizing on September 20-22, 2021.
Photocatalysis represents a unique class of chemical transformations. It utilizes the energy delivered by light and drives reactions that are difficult, sometimes even impossible, to carry out in dark. When used for thermodynamically uphill reactions such as photosynthesis, photocatalysis promises a sustainable solution to large scale solar energy storage. Based on this, novel reactions and photocatalysts have been discovered recently. This symposium will highlight the recent advances in the domain of photocatalysis and their applications towards the synthesis of complex molecules to fuel generations.
This symposium is co-organised by the Royal Flemish Chemical Society (KVCV) and the Department of Chemistry of the University of Antwerp.
Participation is free of charge.
For more information and registration link, see kvcv.be/photo-cat. The schedule of the lectures is included in the attached file.
We look forward to welcoming you virtually!
