Angewandte Chemie and Chemistry Europe are proud to host the upcoming virtual symposium on Empowering Diversity in Science: An African Perspective as part of the IUPAC Global Women's Breakfast initiative.

Learn more about careers in chemical research as well as work on diversity, equity, and inclusion in science from the unique perspective of these three African chemists:

  • Prof. Cynthia Ibeto, University of Nigeria Nsukka
  • Dr. Lydia Rhyman, University of Mauritius
  • Dr. Martins Oderinde, Bristol Myers Squibb, USA

This exciting event will be moderated by Sandra González Gallardo (Chemistry Europe) and Lisa Pecher (Angewandte Chemie) and each talk will be followed by an interactive Q&A session. A panel discussion with all speakers will conclude the event. Also, just for your information, you can access Prof. Ibeto’s interview on Chemistry Views here.
