Nowadays, more and more media coverage is being spent on current day possibilities using 3D Printing. Not only is this technique implemented in groundbreaking medical procedures, it is also within grasp for the digitally savvy artist.

During this evening lecture, Toon Roels (Materialise) will go into further detail on the different technologies that are collectively referred to as 3D Printing, their physical and chemical processes that form the foundation of this technique, and what it is exactly that sets it apart from traditional or more conventional production processes.

By focusing also on major research and application fields, the participant can envision the impact this technology has and will have on industry, but also closer to home and on our daily lives.

The lecture will take place on Campus Groenenborger, Room V008.

Participation is free of charge for KVCV-members, KDA-members pay 2 EUR and non-members 4 EUR.

Pre-registration is not required. Following the lecture, the Youth division of KVCV courteously invites you to a reception in the hallways.
